4-20mA Topologies
Burr-Brown offers basic types two-wire 4-20mA transmitters-current excitation voltage excitation. XTR105, XTR112, XTR114 provide current sources exciting RTDs bridges. XTR106 provides voltage excitation strain gages pressure sensor bridges. Both types include linearization circuitry that reduce sensor error much 20:1. Linearization accomplished varying sensor excitation current voltage. on-chip voltage regulator provided conveniently powering external circuitry. circuitry powered from two-wire current loop used transmit signal. power supply required transmitter site.
