Operates from Single Supply Supply Current: 220µA 0.2µA Shutdown Mode Protection Over ±10kV Uses Small Capacitors: 0.1µF Operates 120kBaud Output Overvoltage Does Force Current Back into Supplies RS232 Lines Forced ±25V Without Damage Compatible with LT1180A
LTC1382 ultra-low power 2-driver/2-receiver RS232 transceiver that operates from single supply. charge pump requires only four spacesaving 0.1µF capacitors. transceiver operates modes, Normal Shutdown. Normal mode, only 220µA with driver outputs unloaded. Shutdown mode, charge pump turned off, driver outputs forced into three-state, both receivers drops 0.2µA. LTC1382 fully compliant with data rate overvoltage RS232 specifications. transceiver operate 120kbaud with 2500pF, load. Both driver outputs receiver inputs forced ±25V without damage survive multiple ±10kV strikes.
