When mute open voltage mute below 0.5V, mute circuit activated that output circuit will muted. When voltage mute above mute circuit stopped output circuit operated normally. chip temperature rises above 175°C, then (Thermal shutdown) circuit activated output circuit muted.

VREF output voltage band-gap-referenced biasing circuit acts input voltage circuit. base-emitter voltage designed turn-on below voltage. VREF (R11+R12) 400mV When chip temperature rises 175°C, then turn-on voltage would drop down 400mV. Hence, would turn output circuit will muted.

When input voltages applied input #14, then output comparator decided depends input voltage status. shown above diagram, difference [VREF1 [VREF1 R)], applied both terminals motor. direction motor decided voltage difference, output characteristics follows, 9=5V #14=0V, then 15=+V #16= hence motor turn forward direction. 9=0V #14=5V, then #16=+V, hence motor turn reverse direction. 9=5V #14=5V, then V=0V, hence motor stop. 9=0V #14=0V, then V=0V, hence motor stop. When rotation speed control loading motor desired, refer follows.

torque loading motor when used with open, then should used above diagram. desired torque could obtained selecting appropriate resistor shown left diagram. necessary, zener diode used right diagram. maximum torque obtained when applied voltage about 6.8V VCC=8V).

voltage, VREF, reference voltage given bias voltage #23. input signal through amplified 10k/10k times then level shift. level shift produces current difference between input signal arbitrary reference signal. current produced into driver buffer. Driver Buffer operates power Transistor output stage according state input signal. output stage Driver motor rotating forward direction operating other hand, operating, motor rotating reverse direction. When input voltage through below VREF, then direction motor forward direction. When input voltage through above VREF, then direction motor reverse direction. desired change gain, then used. When bias voltage below 1.4V, then output circuit muted. Hence normal operation, bias voltage should used 1.6V~6.5V.
Connect by-pass capacitor, 0.1µf between supply voltage source.
