DESCRIPTION:
IDT7216/IDT7217 high-speed, low-power 16-bit multipliers ideal fast, real time digital signal processing applications. Utilization modified Booths algorithm IDT's high-performance, submicron CMOS technology, achieved speeds comparable bipolar (20ns max.), 1/10 power consumption. IDT7216/IDT7217 ideal applications requiring high-speed multiplication such fast Fourier transform analysis, digital filtering, graphic display systems, speech synthesis recognition system requirement where multiplication speeds mini/microcomputer inadequate. input registers, well output registers, same positive edge-triggered D-type flip-flop. IDT7216, there independent clocks (CLKX, CLKY, CLKM, CLKL) associated with each these registers. IDT7217 only single clock input (CLK) three register enables. control input registers, while controls entire product. IDT7216/IDT7217 offer additional flexibility with control MSPSEL functions. control formats output two's complement shifting then repeating sign LSP.
