Photocurrent input from photodiode will negative with respect amplifier. using adapter that comes with C9051, power supply voltage within this range. separate adapter plug will required power input C9051. This maximum ripple allowed power supply when operated with loads listed power supply specification sheet, excluding switching noise that might appear superimposed ripple. When using adapter that comes with C9051, always make sure that power supply output does contain excessive ripple noise.
IUsable photodiodes
single-element photodiode with terminal capacitance below used. photometric applications requiring high accuracy, recommend using metal package ceramic package photodiodes. detailed information refer individual data sheets photodiodes. NOTE) C9051 cannot used with multi-element photodiodes, photodiodes with preamplifier, (avalanche photodiodes), photo diodes reverse-biased photodiodes.

Typical connection photodiode
connect photodiode C9051, coaxial cable terminated with plug. cable length (capacitance) should less than including photodiode terminal capacitance. Solder photodiode leads connect cable wire. (See drawing right.) Anode: Connect shield wire cable. (Make electrical connection with shield.) Cathode: Connect core wire cable. improve measurement accuracy, provide shield around photodiode. cable longer than necessary. (Keep cable short possible.) NOTE) When using photodiode whose cathode internally connected metal package, secure photodiode with insulating material when shielding. Otherwise, signal current cannot drawn when photodiode package grounded.
