1B22 isolated voltage-to-current converter that incorporates transformer isolation achieve high performance automated surface mount manufacturing cost increased reliability. Designed industrial applications, especially suited harsh environments with extremely high common-mode interference. With programmable inputs outputs, 1B22 provides unbeatable combination versatility performance compact plastic package. Functionally, converter consists four basic sections: input conditioning, modulator/demodulator, isolated loop supply current source (Figure 1B22 programmable inputs outputs using internal resistor network. also external resistor accept inputs. Transformer coupling provides 1500 galvanic isolation between inputs current loop. Nonlinearity excellent 0.05% max. Loop power generated internally through dc/dc converter also isolated from input side (1500 rms). Loop compliance voltage dependent voltage supplied 1B22, with VLOOP sufficient drive 1000 load. 1B22 fully specified over -25°C +85°C operates over industrial (-40°C +85°C) temperature range.
Isolated Loop Power: Internal loop supply completely isolates loop from input terminals (1500 rms) provides capability drive 1000 loads. This eliminates need external dc/dc converter. Ease Use: 1B22 offers complete isolated voltage-tocurrent conversion with minimum external parts required conditioned current signal. external buffers drivers required. High Isolation: 1B22 features high input output galvanic isolation eliminate ground loops offer protection against damage from transients fault voltages. isolation barrier will withstand continuous 1500 meets IEEE Standard Common-Mode Voltage Transient Protection (STD 472-SWC). Small Size: 1B22 package size (1.0" 2.1" DIP) makes excellent choice multichannel systems maximum channel density. 0.35" height also facilitates applications with limited board clearance.
