MAX769 Evaluation
MAX769 evaluation kit) provides platform evaluating features MAX769. MAX769 converts 2-cell 3-cell, 1.5V 5.5V battery voltage four separate output voltages. main output voltage digitally controlled from 1.8V 4.9V 100mV steps 3-wire SPIserial interface. provides 80mA. other outputs (REG1, REG2, REG3) low-noise linear-regulator outputs. MAX769 contains numerous other features two-way paging other low-power wireless designs. Consult MAX769 data sheet details. MAX769 fully assembled tested surface-mount circuit board. MAX847 similar MAX769 except that contains boost DC-DC converter (for 1-cell inputs) rather than buck-boost converter (for 2-cell 3-cell inputs). evaluate MAX847, please order MAX847EVKIT.

Manual Programming
MAX769 designed controlled serial interface; however, slide-switches SW1-SW4 LED1 provided assist "bench-top" evaluation (Table MAX769 data sheet descriptions programmable features more information serial programming. manually program data into device, start with SW1, SW2, high. Then sequence through following steps: (CS) low. first desired data input with SW2. Toggle serial clock down with SW1. Data loaded rising edge. Repeat steps each next seven input data bits (for total eight bits). high.
Note: Please indicate that using MAX769 when contacting these component suppliers.
Quick Start
MAX769 fully assembled tested. Follow these steps verify board operation. turn power supply until connections completed. Check positions jumpers JU1-JU12. Table MAX769 data sheet details. Jumper connections MAX847 MAX769 same. Check positions switches SW1-SW4. SW1-SW3 should high (closest edge evaluation board). When testing MAX769, used should disconnected leaving JU12-1 open. Connect supply voltage BATT pad. power-supply ground connects pad. Connect voltmeter load, any, pad. Note that MAX769 designed start low-power (COAST) mode-it cannot supply full load until mode after start-up serial interface). Turn input power supply verify that output voltage 3.0V. This MAX769's starting voltage. Other voltages then programmed serial interface (see MAX769 data sheet).
Connectors
