General Description
encoders series CMOS LSIs remote control system applications. They capable encoding bits information which consists address bits 18-N data bits. Each address/data input externally trinary programmable bonded out. otherwise floating internally. Various packages encoders offer flexible combinations programmable address/data meet various application needs. programmable address/data transmitted together with header bits infrared transmission medium upon receipt trigger signal. capability select trigger type DATA trigger type further enhances application flexibility series encoders.

Functional Description
Operation series encoders begins three-word transmission cycle upon receipt transmission enable HT600/HT680 D12~D15 HT6207, active high). This cycle will repeat itself long transmission enable D12~D15) held high. Once transmission enable falls low, encoder output completes final cycle then stops shown below.

Address/data programming (preset) status each address/data individually preset logic transmission enable signal applied, encoder scans transmits status bits address/data serially order AD17 HT600/HT680 HT6207. There some packaging limitations. example 18-pin HT680, offers four external data bits eight external address bits. remaining unpackaged bits dummy codes treated floating A0~AD17 pull-low D12~D15. During information transmission these bits still located their original position. trigger signal applied, chip only consumes standby current which less than 1mA. address pins usually preset transmit data codes with particular security codes switches wiring, while data selected using push buttons electronic switches. following figure shows application using HT680:
