DESCRIPTION
74F283 adds 4-bit binary words plus plus incoming carry. binary appears outputs (0-3) outgoing carry (COUT) according equation: =0+21+42+83+16COUT where (+)=plus symmetry binary function, 74F283 used with either active-High operands (positive logic) with active-Low operands (negative logic). Function Table. case active-Low operands (negative logic) results COUT should interpreted also active-Low. With active-High inputs, cannot left open; must held when "carry intended. Interchanging inputs equal weight does affect operation, thus arbitrarily assigned pins etc. limitations, intermediate carries 74F283 brought inputs outputs. However, other means used effectively insert carry into, bring carry from, intermediate stage.
