Quadrature Encoder/Hall-Effect Interface
2.13 Back-EMF Motor Phase Current Sensing
UNI-3 connector supplies Back-EMF Motor Phase Current signals from three phases motor attached motor drive unit. Back-EMF signals UNI-3 connector derived from resistor divider network contained motor drive unit. These resistors divide down attached motor's Back-EMF voltages +3.3V level. Motor Phase Current signals derived from current sense resistors. Both these signal groups then routed group header pins, JG4, that allow user select which signal group device's will monitor; reference Figure 2-11.

2.15 Zero-Crossing Detection
attached UNI-3 motor drive board contains logic that send pulses when phase voltage attached 3-phase motor drops zero. motor drive board circuits generate +5.0V pulse voltage comparators. resulting pulse signals sent jumper blocks shared with Encoder/Hall-Effect interface. jumper blocks allow selection Zero-Crossing signals Quadrature Encoder/Hall-Effect signals.
