2.12 Stereo Codec
16-bit audio quality stereo codec, Crystal Semiconductor CS4218, connected DSP56852's ISSI port support audio, voice signal analysis applications. codec clocked with 12.288MHz oscillator. This allows codec operate between sample frequency 8KHz 48KHz. sample rate manually setting appropriate switch positions switch sample rate selections possible using this three-position switch detailed Table 2-8. codec supports +3.3V digital levels, eliminating need voltage level translation circuitry. Additionally, zero resistors provided allow user disconnect on-board codec from ISSI port allow connect codec ISSI port; Figure 2-12. on-board codec analog signal conditioning logic, allowing direct connection line level input line level output signals through 1/8" stereo jacks; reference Figure 2-11.
