General Description
HT6026 CMOS encoder designed remote control system applications. capable encoding bits information which consists address bits data bits. Each address/data input externally trinary programmable external switches. programmable address/data transmitted along with header bits infrared transmission medium upon receipt trigger signal (TE). HT6026 compatible with MC145026.

Functional Description
Operation HT6026 encoder begins one-word transmission cycle upon receipt transmission enable (TE, active low). This cycle will repeat itself long transmission enable held low. Once transmission enable returns high, encoder output completes final word cycle, then stops shown Transmission timing diagram below. total number transmission cycles allowed always automatically adjusted even number.

Address/data programming (preset) status each address/data individually preset logic transmission enable signal applied, encoder scans transmits status 9-bit address/data serially order AD8. trigger signal applied, chip only consumes standby current which less than (for VDD=5V). address pins usually preset transmit data codes with their particular security codes switches wiring, while data selected using push buttons electronic switches. following figure demonstrates application using HT6026:
