DESCRIPTION:
IDT6178 high-speed cache address comparator sub-system consisting 16,384-bit StaticRAM organized Cycle Time Address MATCH Valid equal. IDT6178 features onboard 4-bit comparator that compares contents current input data. result active HIGH MATCH pin. MATCH pins several IDT6178s handed together provide enabling acknowledging signals data cache processor. IDT6178 fabricated using IDT's high-performance, high-reliability CMOS technology. Address MATCH Data MATCH times fast 10ns. inputs outputs IDT6178 TTL-compatible device operates from single supply. IDT6178 packaged either 22-pin, 300-mil Plastic Ceramic package 24-pin SOJ. Military grade product manufactured compliance with latest revision MILSTD-883, Class making ideally suited military temperature applications demanding highest level performance reliability.

Match Cycle: match cycle occurs when control signals (OE, CLR) HIGH. that time, data supplied pins compared with data stored specified address. totem-pole match output HIGH when there match data bits, drives there match. Write Cycle: write cycle conventional, occuring when HIGH. either HIGH LOW, since overridden state Match guaranteed, current implementation continues reflect output comparator. Match goes HIGH during write cycles since data specified address same data (being written) I/Os RAM.
