DESCRIPTION L7800 series three-terminal positive regulator available TO-220, ISOWATT220 TO-3 packages with several fixed output voltages making useful wide range applications. These regulators provide local on-card regulation, eliminating distribution problems associated with single point regulation. Each type employs internal current limiting, thermal shut-down safe area protection, making essentially indestructible. adequate heat sinking provided, they deliver over output current. Although designed primarily fixed voltage regulators, these devices used with external components obtain adjustable voltages currents. BLOCK DIAGRAM

DESCRIPTION L78S00 series three-terminal positive regulators available TO-220 TO-3 packages with several fixed output voltages, making useful wide range applications. These regulators provide local on-card regulation, eliminating distribution problems associated with single point regulation. Each type employs internal current limiting, thermal shut-down safe area protection, making essentially indestructible. adequate heat sinking provided, they deliver over output current. DESCRIPTION L79L00 series three-terminal negative regulators employ internal current limiting thermal shutdown, making them essentially indestructible. adequate heatsink provided, they deliver output current.
