SB301 programmable, high-performance transceiver full duplex operations 1.25 gigabits second Gigabit Ethernet. chip includes receiver equalization circuitry reduce inter-symbol interference (ISI) thus extending range communications these high rates. transmitter interface (TBI) parallel LVTTL/CMOS data reference clock. transmit clock used serializer send data parallel input rate. Internal termination which either eliminates need external termination serializer outputs, user option terminate externally well (with either terminations). synchronizer clock/data recovery circuit used lock input high-speed serial input stream. recovered data then passed word align/comma detect circuitry word alignment after which clocked parallel interface. recovered byte clocks, comma detect signal transition detect signals also made available system. built-in self test (BIST) available that used self test chip without need external digital parallel data. SB301 manufactured using 0.35 standard -cost single-poly digital CMOS process operates with single 3.3V supply. chip available TQFP package either 10mm 10mm 14mm 14mm form factor.
