DESCRIPTION:
16-Bit Buffer/Line Driver interface signal buffering applications requiring high speed power dissipation. These devices have flow through organization, shrink packaging simplify board layout. inputs designed with hysteresis improved noise margin. three-state controls allow independent 4-bit, 8-bit combined 16-bit operation. These parts plug replacements 54/74ABT16244 where higher speed, lower noise lower power dissipation levels desired. FCT16244T/AT/CT/ET ideally suited driving high capacitance loads (>200pF) impedance backplanes. These "high drive" buffers designed with power disable capability allow "live insertion" boards when used backplane interface. FCT162244T/AT/CT/ET have balanced output current levels current limiting resistors. These offer ground bounce, minimal undershoot, controlled output fall times, reducing need external series terminating resistors while still providing very high speed operation loads less than 200pF. FCT166244T/AT/CT suited very noise, point-to-point driving where there single receiver, very light lumped load (<100pF). buffers designed limit output current levels which will avoid noise ringing signal lines without using external series terminating resistors. FCT162H244T/AT/CT/ET have "Bus-Hold" which retains input's last state whenever input goes high impedance. This prevents "floating" inputs eliminates need pull-up/down resistors.
