Functional Description
General
state: level input stage activates corresponding output stage. state: internal pull-up resistor provides high level input comparator deactivates output stage. Zener diodes between each input capable clamping current without crosstalk adjacent input stages. total clamping current should observed with respect power dissipation.
Current Limitation Output Stages Overtemperature Shutdown
temperature-dependent current limitation range protects stages case short-circuit. Additionally, chip temperature monitored. Tchip 148°C, outputs disabled automatically enabled with hysteresis TChip Refer driver U6807B temperature shutdown feature required.
Transients Load Dump
integrated Zener diode protects each output stage against transients load dump (Schaffner pulses). With help external resistor, output transistor capable handling corresponding current which flows during each these conditions. Apart from that, outputs short-circuit overload protected.
Low-voltage Detection
When supply voltage switched power-on reset pulse generated internally which disables output stages until defined supply-voltage level reached. low-voltage detection provided with hysteresis Vhyst 0.5V typically.
