Description Avago Technologies's ALM-1106 designed GPS/ISM/Wimax applications (0.9-3.5)GHz frequency range. uses Agilent Technologies's proprietary GaAs Enhancement-mode pHEMT process achieve high gain operation with very noise figures high linearity. Noise figure distribution very tightly controlled. Gain supply current guaranteed parameters. CMOS compatible shutdown included turn provide variable bias. Notes form input matching network. module integrated coupling DC-blocking capacitors input output. Best noise performance obtained using high-Q wirewound inductors. This circuit demonstrates that noise figures obtainable with standard 0402 chip inductors. Replacing with highQ wirewound inductors (eg. Cilcraft 0402CS series) will yield 0.1dB lower 0.6dB higher Gain. output matching inductor. bypass capacitor. PRL1 network that isolates measurement demoboard from external disturbances. mitigates effect external noise pickup lines. These components required actual operation. Bias control achieved either varying voltage without fixing voltage varying Typical value total current VDD=+2.85V. Higher gain performance obtained increasing supply current. This achieved reducing value obtain desired current. voltage operation such 1.5V 1.0V, omitted connected directly supply pins.
