Quick Start
Follow steps below verify board operation. turn power supply until connections completed: Verify that shunt across pins jumper JU1. Preset power supply between 2.6V 5.5V. Turn power supply. Connect positive power-supply terminal labeled Connect power-supply ground terminal labeled GND. Turn power supply verify that LEDs lit.

Detailed Description
Controlling Intensity
intensity controlled using CTRL input. CTRL used either analog input digital input. When using CTRL analog input, connect 0.24V 1.62V voltage source CTRL, where 0.24V corresponds dimmest setting 1.62V full brightness. Connecting CTRL ground places MAX1561 shutdown mode. digital signal (200Hz 200kHz) also connected directly CTRL. this case, duty cycle controls brightness LEDs, where corresponds dimmest setting 100% full brightness. pullup resistor (R2) jumper (JU1) provided that used without connection CTRL. With shorted other connection CTRL, LEDs full brightness. CTRL being driven, shunt across removed. Remove jumper across when measuring quiescent current with circuit shutdown mode.
Changing Number LEDs
MAX1561 used drive LEDs. MAX1561 comes configured driving LEDs. evaluate MAX1561 driving fewer than LEDs, short pads unused LEDs. convenience, used short LEDs operation.
Evaluating Other Inductors
Inductors provided board simplify evaluation other inductors. evaluate these inductors circuit, carefully remove from circuit replace with either
