Ideally suited interfacing between low-level logic circuitry multiple peripheral power loads, Series ULN20xxA/L high-voltage, high-current Darlington arrays feature continuous load current ratings each seven drivers. appropriate duty cycle depending ambient temperature number drivers turned simultaneously, typical power loads totaling over (350 controlled. Typical loads include relays, solenoids, stepping motors, magnetic print hammers, multiplexed incandescent displays, heaters. devices feature open-collector outputs with integral clamp diodes. ULN2003A/L ULN2023A/L have series input resistors selected operation directly with CMOS. These devices will handle numerous interface needs particularly those beyond capabilities standard logic buffers. ULN2004A/L ULN2024A/L have series input resistors operation directly from CMOS PMOS logic outputs.

Note that ULN20xxA series (dual in-line package) ULN20xxL series (small-outline package) electrically identical share common terminal number assignment.
ULN2003A/L ULN2004A/L standard Darlington arrays. outputs capable sinking will withstand least state. Outputs paralleled higher load current capability. ULN2023A/L ULN2024A/L will withstand state. These Darlington arrays furnished 16-pin dual in-line plastic packages (suffix "A") 16-lead surface-mountable SOICs (suffix "L"). devices pinned with outputs opposite inputs facilitate ease circuit board layout. devices rated operation over temperature range -20°C +85°C. Most (see matrix, next page) also available operation -40°C; order, change prefix from "ULN" "ULQ".
