General Description
PVAZ172N Photovoltaic Relay singlepole, normally open solid state relay that replace electromechanical relays used general purpose switching loads. utilizes International Rectifier's HEXFET power MOSFETs output switches, driven integrated circuit photovoltaic generator novel construction. output switch controlled radiation from GaAlAs light emitting diode (LED) which optically isolated from photovoltaic generator. These units overcome limitations both electromechanical reed relays offering solid-state advantages high sensitivity, miniaturization, contact bounce, long operational life, insensitivity external magnetic fields, shock vibration, high reliability inherent with solid state technology. They ideally suited switching high currents level signals without distortion injection electrical noise. These relays packaged 8-pin, molded packages available with thru-hole (gull-wing) leads, plastic shipping tubes.
