Overview
LB1846M LB1848M 2-channel low-voltage, saturation voltage type bidirectional motor driver that optimal 2-phase stepping motor drivers printers, floppy disk drives, cameras other portable equipment. output circuits bipolar type, with transistors upper side transistors lower side, they achieve saturation output power characteristics despite being provided miniature package. Both these products directly control motor from signals from microcontroller. LB1846M optimal phase excitation drive 2-phase stepping motors using 4-input logic (IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4) LB1848M optimal 2-phase excitation drive 2-phase stepping motors using 3-input logic (ENA, IN1, IN2). Another point that these include built-in thermal shutdown circuits that scorching burning prevented advance even outputs shorted. Additionally, MFP-10S miniature package used supports reduced-space mounting.

LB1846M, 1848M ("Soft Off" Function) Operation [LB1848M only] soft function reduces power supply line noise kickback current generated when stepping motor drive mode switched from drive standby. "soft off" function provided this operates when capacitor (0.001 0.01 connected between ground. (Leave open disable soft function.) waveforms each shown below.
