Purpose
TFP201 used evaluate TFP201 performance device parameters, while acting guide high-speed board layout. board allows designer ease connecting directly from output existing system input flat panel display through connector. board receives encoded serial data sent over three differential pairs clock signal over fourth differential pair that deserializes data. Parallel data clock signal provided onboard transmitter, which reserializes data outputs connector, then digital connector display.
Basic Function
Texas Instruments TFP201 used evaluate performance design TFP201 using existing system with interface. board allows designer connect video card where data clock serialized transmitted along four differential pairs. receiver then deserializes data, providing bits bits pix/clk) data clock. receiver than sends data onboard transmitter that reserializes data outputs four differential pairs through connector display. TFP201EVM will support SXGA resolutions. Overall, board designed optimized support high-speed operation. general, board impedance should controlled impedance mismatches should kept minimum designing component size close possible width connecting transmission line. addition, reduce board skew, trace lengths should matched closely possible. Impedance Matching
