High performance Crimp termination Closed entry socket contacts Series KPSE environmental, miniature circular, quick disconnect connectors designed exacting requirements today`s electronic industry. They intermateable, intermountable interchangeable with connectors manufactured acc. MIL-C-26482, 29500, 95328, 93422 54125. Connectors Cannon series KPSE have obtained Expertise 63761.
Miniature circular connectors
Standard MIL-C-26482 Hardware mates with connector designed MIL-C-26 482, 29500 422, model Crimp, snap-in contacts designed MIL-C-23216 crimped with standard M22520/1 crimp tool. CLOSED-ENTRY SOCKET CONTACTS eliminate damage from abuse test probes help correct misaligned pins during engagement. CONTACT INSERTION accomplished from rear connector. When contact fully inserted, clip tines snap securely behind contact shoulder. CONTACT EXTRACTION accomplished with front-inserted extraction tool. Pressing tool plunger pushes contact through rear connector. Monobloc insulator does leave access moisture avoids interfacial empty space.
Contact retaining clip completely encased tough plastic wafer protect clip from damage. Complete moisture sealing achieved combining four seals: shell, peripheral, interfacial wire seals. SHELL SEAL effected when plug shell pushes against sealing ring receptacle when connectors mated. PERIPHERAL SEAL around edge insulator designed that mating connector puts tension seal greatly reduces compression set. INTERFACIAL SEAL achieved insulator faces meeting when plug receptacle mated. Crimping contacts Strip wires according table above taking care nick strands.
Insert stripped wire into contact crimp pot. Wire must visible thru inspection hole.
Using correct crimp tool locator, cycle tool once sure indentors open. Insert contact wire into locator. Squeeze tool handles firmly completely insure proper crimp. tool will release unless crimp indentors tool head have been fully actuated.
Release crimped contact wire from tool. certain wire visible thru inspection hole contact.
Contact insertion Remove hardware from plug receptacle. Slide hardware over wire bundle proper order reassembly.
proper contact insertion tool, slide tool over terminal contact. size contact lies tool tool butts against contact shoulder. rear, insulation support, size contact butts against internal shoulder tool tip.
Beginning from center cavity working outwards, insert wired contacts into rear connector hand until front contact shoulder more than 1/8" from grommet. Holding connector securely, position tool behind contact. Push tool straight into contact cavity until contact snaps into position. light pull wire will assure that contact locked securely. Repeat remaining contacts.

Contact extraction Slide hardware back over wire bundle. Using proper extraction tool extraction proper insertion/ extraction tool, proceed follows:

contacts while second index line removing socket contacts. Carefully place tool over contact extracted until tool touches insulator face. Carefully rotate tool until index line slightly below insulator face. Keep even pressure against tool body; push plunger forward with thumb index finger; push contact through clip. Carefully remove extraction tool from connector. Pull wire hand complete removal contact.
