Overview Description
S3455 SONET/SDH transceiver chip fully integrated serialization/ deserialization SONET OC-48 (2.488 Gbps 2.670 Gbps) interface device. S3455 receives OC-48 scrambled Non-Return Zero (NRZ) signal recovers clock from data. chip performs necessary serial-to-parallel parallel-to-serial functions conformance with SONET/ transmission standards. device suitable SONET-based applications. Figure shows typical network application. On-chip clock synthesis performed high-frequency Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) S3455 transceiver chip allowing slower external transmit clock reference. chip used with 155.52 166.62 MHz) reference clock support existing system clocking schemes.
