Functional Description
Display Driving device directly drive clock panels dynamically. clock will displayed 24-hour format with hours ranging from minutes from most significant numeral zero then display will extinguished.
Segment connections
Other Functions external reset used reset internal circuit device. When this pulled device will reset, when allowed high, internal pull-high resistor, then display will indicate output. open status, held level pull-high resistor, enabling inputs from pins. These inputs become invalid setting this level externally. 64Hz allows monitoring system frequency allow frequency adjustments executed. name suggests, this output will continuously output frequency 64Hz. open status, TEST1 TEST2 pins kept level pull-down resistors. open status, TEST3 TEST4 pins kept level pull-up resistors. Test function shown following table.

device designed clock applications, four 7-segment displays required display correct time output. connections segments shown below, however should noted that fourth segment only requires segments driven.

Device Functions
Reset
Zero adjustment
Although device provided with external reset A/C, device will fact reset itself when power applied, eliminating need external reset components. usual provision external capacitor required internal reset capacitor integrated within device.
Chatter removal
device contains circuits which connected input pins remove chatter less than 31.25ms.
Oscillator
basic time base frequency this device determined external 4.194304MHz crystal. When external crystal along with small external capacitors connected oscillator pins, internal oscillator circuit will ensure generation correct time base signals. oscillation frequency, although determined external crystal frequency, will also influenced external capacitors, crystal inherent capacitance residual capacitance external tracks. ensure accurate frequency generation, crystal specification should taken into account care taken place external capacitors crystal close device possible. Time Adjustment Operation
Hour/minute adjustment
zero adjust function also included within device controlled pin. This connected internal pull resistor. Pulling this line high will reset both internal minutes seconds value, however which display reset depends upon present value display. minute value presently less than only second minute values will reset zero hour value remain unchanged. However minute value presently value higher then when zero adjustment function executed, carry will implemented hour value will increment one. following table illustrates examples this operation. Zero Adjust Examples Present Time Min. Sec. After Zero Adjust Min. Sec.
Both minutes hour displays adjusted separately both together fast forward format. hour pin, minutes pin, used make these adjustments. Both these pins connected internal pull-low resistors. Each time these lines pulled high, respective hour minute value will increment one, also line continuously held high then respective value will increment automatically rate 2Hz. Both values will increment together both lines pulled high simultaneously. Note that carry functions will implemented when either hour minute value overflows. Rev. 1.00 February 2007
