GENERAL DESCRIPTION
patent-pending ACT8740 complete, cost effective, highly-efficient ActivePMUpower management solution that ideal wide range portable handheld equipment. This device integrates step-down DC/DC converter, step-up DC/DC converter with over-voltage protection (OVP), three dropout linear regulators (LDOs) full-featured linear-mode battery charger into single, thin, space-saving package. Serial Interface provides programmability DC/DC converters, LDOs battery charger. REG1 fixed-frequency, current-mode step-down DC/DC converter that optimized high efficiency capable supplying 350mA output current. REG2 fixed-frequency, step-up DC/DC converter that safely efficiently biases string seven white-LEDs backlighting. REG3, REG4 REG5 noise, high PSRR linear regulators that capable supplying 350mA, 250mA 250mA, respectively. battery charger incorporates internal power MOSFET thermally regulated charging single-cell battery. DC/DC converters LDOs output voltages programmable controllable interface. ACT8740 available tiny 24-pin Thin-QFN package that just 0.75mm thin.
