Normal Status
This monitors voltage battery connected between voltage difference between control charging discharging. When battery voltage range from overdischarge detection voltage (VDL) overcharge detection voltage (VCU), voltage range from charge overcurrent detection voltage (VCIOV) discharge overcurrent detection voltage (VDIOV), turns both charging discharging control FETs This condition called normal status, this condition charging discharging carried freely. resistance (RVMD) between pin, resistance (RVMS) between connected normal status. Caution When battery connected first time, discharging enabled. this case, short connect charger restore normal status.

When battery overdischarge status connected charger provided that voltage lower than -0.7 (Typ.), S-8211C Series releases overdischarge status turns discharging when battery voltage reaches overdischarge detection voltage (VDL) higher. When battery overdischarge status connected charger provided that voltage lower than -0.7 (Typ.), S-8211C Series releases overdischarge status when battery voltage reaches overdischarge release voltage (VDU) higher.
Discharge Overcurrent Status (Discharge Overcurrent, Load Short-circuiting)
When battery normal status status where voltage equal higher than discharge overcurrent detection voltage because discharge current higher than specified value status lasts discharge overcurrent detection delay time, discharge control turned discharging stopped. Battery Charging Function "Available"
This function used recharge connected battery whose voltage self-discharge. When battery charge starting charger voltage (V0CHA) higher voltage applied between pins connecting charger, charging control gate fixed voltage. When voltage between gate source charging control becomes equal higher than turnon voltage charger voltage, charging control turned start charging. this time, discharging control charging current flows through internal parasitic diode discharging control FET. Battery Charging Function "Unavailable"
