BVCEO BVCBO minimum rating transistor must exceed maximum application. AQ120 will stand max. Therefore maximum voltage will experience 18V. Iout Beta transistor will dictate maximum output current equation:
Iout Idrive max(20mA) BetaExt.PNP
Higher beta will improve Vout variation change load (load reg.) Minimizing Idrive required will also minimize Load reg. Vout will decrease .15% Idrive. Therefore, delta 10mA Idrive will cause delta 1.5% Vout. Power dissipation Selection external package based size requirements power dissipation. Consult transistor data sheet power considerations.
