DESCRIPTION:
Space Electronics' 422D10RH 422Q10RH dual quad, power, full duplex transceivers RS-422 RS-485 space communications. Each device contains multiple drivers receivers. 422D10RH 422Q10RH slew rate limited, allowing data rates Mbps. drivers short-circuit current limited protected against excessive power dissipation thermal shut-down circuitry that places driver outputs into high impedance state. receiver inputs have fail-safe feature that guarantees logic-high output input open circuited. 422D10RH 422Q10RH transceivers feature typical Krads (Si) total dose tolerance depending upon orbit duration mission. 422D10RH 422Q10RH intended environments encountered high reliability spacecraft applications. patented radiation-hardened RAD-PAK® technology incorporates radiation shielding microcircuit package. Capable surviving in-space environments, 422D10RH 422Q10RH ideal satellite, spacecraft, space probe missions.

LOW-POWER SHUTDOWN MODE
POWER RS-422 TRANSCEIVERS
low-power shutdown mode initiated bringing both high low. devices will shut down unless both driver receiver disabled (high impedance). shutdown, devices typically draw only supply current. these devices, tPSH tPSL enable times assume part low-power shutdown mode; tPZH tPZL enable times assume receiver driver disabled, part shut down.
DRIVER OUTPUT PROTECTION
Excessive output current power dissipation caused faults contention prevented mechanisms. foldback current limit output stage provides immediate protection against short circuits over whole common-mode voltage range (see Typical Operating Characteristics). addition, thermal shutdown circuit forces driver outputs into high-impedance state temperature rises excessively.
LINE LENGTH DATA RATE
RS-485/RS-422 standard covers line lengths 4000 feet. line lengths greater than 4000 feet, Figure Figure shows system differential voltage parts driving 4000 feet 26AWG twisted-pair wire 125kHz into loads.
