DRIVER OUTPUT PROTECTION Excessive output current power dissipation caused faults contention prevented mechanisms. foldback current limit output stage provides immediate protection against short circuits over whole common-mode voltage range (see Typical Operating Characteristics). addition, thermal shutdown circuit forces driver outputs into high-impedance state temperature rises excessively.
