DESCRIPTION:
Space Electronics' SB603Ex3 Single Board Computer (SBC) radiationtolerant advanced board based Motorola's microprocessor specifically designed satellite space applications. Using Motorola's PowerPC 603e microprocessor core element, SB603Ex3 able deliver operational clock speeds utilizing full 32-bit architecture. 603e features include RISC integer core, branch processing unit, floating point processing unit, integer processing unit, separate MMUs instructions data, power management unit JTAG test interface. SB603Ex3 board features include high-speed cache memory, large data program operating systems excellent radiation tolerance. SB603Ex3 designed meet electrical mechanical specifications. most important features SB603Ex3 system radiation performance. Given severe environments encountered most space missions, consideration total dose single event effects paramount. SB603Ex3 combines many SEi's unique patented radiation improvement technologies integrated circuits) with system-architecture single event upset design enhancements create single board computer (SBC) with highest performance levels commercially available space grade SBC. meet total ionizing dose levels, SB603Ex3 uses SEi's RAD-PAK® technology combined with careful selection ICs. Single event latchup issues eliminated selection SEi's Latchup Protection Technology (LPTTM). most difficult element mitigate, single event upset, improved boardlevel design techniques, memory EDAC software, removed through redundant PPC603e processor software (the SB603Ex3 option). memory single event upset rate improved error detection correction (EDAC). minimize rate processor, software and/or redundant hardware incorporated.
