HEDS products transmissive optical encoder modules. These modules designed detect rotary linear position when used together with codewheel linear strip. HEDS modules consist lensed source monolithic detector enclosed small polymer package. These modules phased array detector technology provide superior performance greater tolerances over traditional aperture mask type encoders. Both HEDS module provide digital quadrature outputs. comes standard with third index channel output resolutions. HEDS available with third index channel output some resolutions. HEDS transmissive optical encoder module powered from single +5VDC power supply. Additional power supply voltages will available near future. single-ended outputs capable sinking sourcing each. resolution modules encoder disks linear strips must match. mounting holes provided accept 4-40 machine screws. Both HEDS have identical mounting pin-out configurations. open collector higher voltage applications, device (see data sheet), differential cable driver outputs, device (see data sheet). Encoder disks, linear strips, quadrature decoder chips, counter chips, computer interface boards, mating connectors cables also available.
