Model 3031 piezoresistive silicon accelerometer surface mount package. intended high volume applications where small size, light weight, cost required. This accelerometer consists micro machined silicon mass suspended multiple beams from silicon frame. Piezoresistors located beams change their resistance motion suspended mass changes strain beams. Silicon caps bottom device added provide over-range stops.
