GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MSM6685 serial register composed 8,388,608 words bit, characterized mediumspeed, power consumption operation. This device built-in internal address generation circuit allowing continuous serial read/write operation external clock input. Read/write operation causes internal address incremented automatically External address input enables addressing units 1024 words. Furthermore, refresh timer refresh address counter installed, which makes external refresh circuit unnecessary. addition, this configuration allows lower power consumption. device packaged 26-pin having width mil. well adapted storing much data means battery backup. combination with OKI's recording playback enables easy implementation solid recording playback system.

FUNCTIONS OPERATING MODES
Serial address input (SAD) used enter start address reading/writing. address specified units 1024 words. 1024 words address data entered through bits A12) serial data. Serial address strobe (SAS) This clock latching serial address data into internal register. Address transfer strobe (TAS) This input loading internal address counter with serial address data latched address register. Read/write clock (RWCK) This clock input reading writing information data register. trailing edge RWCK triggers internal operation. reading mode, information data register output DOUT pin. writing mode, data register loaded with information. leading edge RWCK, internal address counter incremented automatically Write enable (WE) This input selecting read mode, write mode, read-modify-write mode. When "H", read mode and, when "L", write mode When level lowered from with RWCK active, read-modify-write mode Data input (DIN) This entering write data. Information data input latched when trailing edge RWCK encountered write mode that encountered read-modify mode. Data output (DOUT) data output always provides high impedance long RWCK kept "H". When information read, output "L", information read held until RWCK returns early write mode, output maintained high impedance, that, connection DOUT enables "I/O common operation". Chip select (CS) This input disabling input pins. This allows more MSM6684A devices with data input output pins connected parallel. Test (TEST, TEST) TEST must always fixed TEST "H".

NOTES ENERGIZATION
MSM6685 built-in bias generator internal power supply circuits, thus, power must followed pause more internal circuit stabilization. Furthermore, TEST must brought concurrently with prior VCC, clock input pins TEST pins must brought concurrently with prior VCC. achieve proper operation internal circuits, initial pause above must followed minimum dummy read cycles with RWCK internal circuit initialization.
NOTES SUPPLY VOLTAGE VARIATION
When using MSM6685, take precautions that supply voltage does vary over volt within period 1,000ms less active state.
