Description
enhanced series liquid level sensors incorporates photo-transistor trigger which provides digital output that denotes presence absence liquid. mode operation derived from principle total internal reflection. photo-transistor housed within plastic dome head device. When liquid present, light from internally reflected from dome phototransistor. When liquid covers dome, effective refractive index dome-liquid boundary changes, allowing some light from escape. Thus amount light received photo-transistor reduced output switches, indicating presence liquid. This method liquid level sensing very fast, almost instantaneous water.
