AL1023 Overview
RoX-IIprovides Gbit/s interface which support four switch chips. Various system configurations achieved using RoX-II family components. RoX-II enables design engineer implement wide range Fast Ethernet Gigabit Ethernet switch configurations, ranging from eight-port 10/100/1000 Ethernet switch (using AL1023) 24-port Mbit/s switch with two-Gigabit Ethernet ports (using AL126 AL1023). AL1023 supports full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet ports which also operate 100Mbp/s. Half-duplex operation supported 10Mbp/s 100Mbp/s. Data received from interface stored external memory buffer. During transmission, data obtained from buffer memory routed destination port. AL1023 utilizes cost effective SGRAM provide Mbit buffer memory. RoX-II interface also supports external management device, AL300A. SNMP RMON supported through this external management device. When management option enabled, network statistics each port gathered sent across RoX-II bus. AL300A will collect store data network management agent. Access statistic counters provided interface device.
