GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MSC7171 driver designed directly drive grids fluorescent display tube. contains 12-bit shift register output drivers. Display data serially written into internal 12-bit shift register rising edge each clock pulse. setting DUTY "L", driver outputs "L". Blanking using this function. setting STANDBY "H", driver outputs MSC7171 enters current mode.

contents shift register undefined after power turned Because this, immediately after power turned some drivers cause display flicker. avoid this, first turn logic power while holding STANDBY "H", then turn driver power. After this, STANDBY input data from DATA pin, then DUTY start display.
