Atmel's innovative design techniques provide fast speeds that rival parts while keeping power consumption 3.3V supply. 3.0V, byte accessed less than With typical power dissipation only 3.3V, AT27LV520 consumes less than fifth power standard EPROM. Standby mode achieved asserting high. Standby mode supply current typically less than 3.3V. AT27LV520 operating with 3.0V produces level outputs that compatible with standard logic devices operating 5.0V. device also capable standard 5-volt operation making ideally suited dual supply range systems card products that pluggable both 3-volt 5-volt hosts. Atmel's AT27LV520 additional features ensure high quality efficient production use. RapidProgramming Algorithm reduces time required program part guarantees reliable programming. Programing time typically only µs/byte. Integrated Product Identification Code electronically identifies device manufacturer. This feature used industry standard
programming equipment select proper programming algorithms voltages. AT27LV520 programs exactly same standard AT27C520 uses same programming equipment.
System Considerations
Switching under active conditions produce transient voltage excursions. Unless accommodated system design, these transients exceed data sheet limits, resulting device non-conformance. minimum, high frequency, inherent inductance, ceramic capacitor should utilized each device. This capacitor should connected between Ground terminals device, close device possible. Additionally, stabilize supply voltage level printed circuit boards with large EPROM arrays, bulk electrolytic capacitor should utilized, again connected between Ground terminals. This capacitor should positioned close possible point where power supply connected array.
