"Alpha Two" Surface Mount Package Handling Mounting
Millimeterwave components require careful mounting design maintain optimal performance. Alpha surface mount package (patent pending) provides rugged repeatable electrical connection using standard solder techniques.

Alpha surface mount package very rugged. However, ceramic's brittle nature, should exercise care when handling with metal tools. apply heavy pressure lid. Vacuum tools used pick place this part. Only personnel trained both precautions handling precautions should allowed handle these packages.

Mounting Package
Alpha surface mount package compatible with high-volume surface mount installation using solder. connections accomplished with metallized edge castellations that hold solder fillets. Ground connections accomplished both metallized edge castellations filled vias bottom package. Care should taken ensure that there voids gaps solder that good ground contact maintained.
