Operational Description
This narrow angle sensing device is used to accurately monitor liquid levels in sewage and nonpotable water applications. The FG100 series control switch is not sensitive to rotation and is suitable for use with intrinsically safe circuits. Contact STI regarding specific intrinsically safe applications. Normally Open Model (high level) The control switch turns on (closes) when the float tips slightly above horizontal, signaling a high level. It turns off (opens) when the float drops slightly below horizontal. Normally Closed Model (low level) The control switch turns on (closes) when the float drops slightly below horizontal, signaling a low level. It turns off (opens) when the float tips slightly above horizontal.

These FG series cable suspended floats are designed for high or low level indication, particularly in many corrosive environments requiring long, dependable life. The FG series of floats are suitable for pump control because they contain a high performance mercury switch. Standard cable lengths are 20 ft. (6 m), and are available up to 30 ft. (9 m). The switch operating levels are easily adjustable by altering the height of the cable fixing point.
