BusLogic Caching Controllers, herein referred BT-XlOA, significantly boost hard drive performance offering high speed caching relieve bottleneck between high speed interface your slower disk subsystems. Data requests first directed controller's onboard memory (Random Access Memory (RAM)) where most frequently used data stored. Hardware delays reduced since hard drive (HDD) isn't accessed data already RAM. BT-XlOA supports four drives. controller cards installed, total system support eight drives. Three versions available including BT410A Video Electronics Standard Association (VESA) platforms, BT-510A Industry Standard Architecture (ISA) systems BT-910A Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) architectures. NPACKING
Before handling BT-XlOA, take precautions avoid damage from electrostatic discharge: either grounding strap, touch your computer metal part discharge static electricity before handling board. Always hold board edges, even after static electricity discharged. Remove BT-XlOA from protective envelope. Check that your shipment complete with cables, documentation diskette. Then verify that physical damage occurred during shipping inspecting board bent pins, loose parts, broken traces, chipped broken connectors.

Before install controller card, install SIMMs cache memory. BT-910A, select correct interrupt port address values this card. Section details these hardware configuration options. Power down host system. Address Conflicts
BT-XlOA POST test messages appear, there address timing conflict between BT-XlOA other adapter cards system.
