Installation Configuration

3.2.2 Windows Users
Click "Start" button. Select "Settings" then "Control Panel." Double-click "DSP Emulators" icon.

This will display Emulators control panel applet. Here, available emulators listed along with address which been assigned. This address that should used when setting JTAG Configurator utility.

"Settings" button will only work with ISA-based emulators. Here change emulator's address remove emulator. changes made here will require reboot.
Software Operation (JTAG Emulator) Prior starting debugger with emulator, must JTAG Configurator utility. This utility allows users identify their JTAG interface configuration, i.e., what JTAG chain looks like from your target board JTAG connector. information required JTAG Configurator operate debugger software found VisualDSP User's Guide included with software distribution.

Software Operation (ADSP-218x-DSP Serial Port Emulator) Once have selected 218x session that desire, VisualDSP menu select "Settings" "EZ-ICE" "Configure Serial Port."
