Resistive Element resistor types have resistance alloy winding braided fiberglass substrate. Intermediate silicone coatings used enhance processibility provide protection resistive element. Termination SP-20 SP-20F resistors terminated using alloy coated copper flashed steel lead welded same material. This termination assembly mechanically crimped, utilizing improved crimp design, resistive element. Encapsulation SP-20 SP-20F encapsulated utilizing compression molded phenolic plastic material. SP-20F flameresistance coating applied over resistive element provide flammability protection when destructive overloads occur. Marking products marked utilizing heat solvent resistant color code bands consistent with EIA/MIL requirements. first band double width designate wirewound construction. fifth band, blue color, used flameproof identification.
