Description ALi's M5232P combines three drivers five receivers from trade standard AP232 bipolar quadruple drivers receivers, respectively. pinout matches flow through design AP232 decrease part count, reduce board space required, allow easy interconnection UART serial-port connector PC/AT compatibles. bipolar circuits processing M5232P provides rugged low-cost solution this function expense quiescent power external passive components relative AP232. M5232P complies with requirements EIA/TIA 232-D (formally CCITT) v.28 standards. These standards data interchange between host computer peripheral signalling rates bits/sec. switching speeds M5232P fast enough support rates kbps with lower capacitive loads (shorter cables). Interoperability higher signalling rates cannot assured unless designer design control cable interface circuits both ends. compatibility with signalling rates kbps, EIA/ITA-423-B (ITU v.10) EIA/ ITA-422-B (ITU v.11) standards recommended. M5232P operable temperature range 75oC.
