TIMING MODES Five different modes may be used under RS232 RS232 user control. An external signal may be used to trigger on an external event (ITC) and to control the integration time (if the rising edge of ITC occurs before its end it will not be taken into account). Master clock is either external or internal clock, or internal clock divided by 2 (this choice is RS232 RS232 controlled). Free run Readout N Continuous operation with : integration time equals readout time Integration N+1 free running camera (no external trigger) Int (RS232 RS232) : free run mode with integration time set by RS232 RS232 Continuous operation with : integration time larger than readout time. Readout N integration time set by RS232 RS232 : minimum value : 105 µs maximum value : 13 000 µs. free running camera (no external trigger) Integration N+1 External trigger : triggered mode with integration time set by RS232 RS232 Operation with external trigger (ITC signal) : rising edge of ITC activates the start of the integration period. ITC integration time set by RS232 RS232 : minimum value : 105 µs maximum value : 13 000 µs. jitter between ITC signal and effective start of the integration period is : 200ns + two master clock periods. Integration N+1 Readout N ITC minimum pulse width : 1 µs. External ITC : externally controlled integration time (1) < 90 master clock periods Operation with external ITC (ITC signal) : rising edge of ITC activates the start of the integration period. ITC rising edge of ITC activates the start of the readout period : Minimum integration time : 105 µs Integration N+1 jitter between ITC and start of the integration (or readout) period is two master clock periods. Readout N ITC min. pulse width : 4 master clock periods. External ITC : externally controlled integration time (2) Operation with external ITC (ITC signal) : > 110 master clock periods falling edge of ITC activates the start of the integration period. rising edge of ITC activates the start of the readout period. Minimum integration time limited by ITC low level : 8 master clock periods. jitter between ITC and start of the integration (or readout) period is two master clock periods. ITC Readout N Integration N+1 ITC stands for Integration Time Control. 3/8 TH78CH15 TH78CH15 camera 4. CAMERA CONFIGURATION VIA RS232 RS232 INTERFACE Camera configuration is set by RS232 RS232 interface, using COMMCAM software (see "COMMCAM user guide"). Users who wishes to develop their own configuration software will read the "Camera RS232 RS232 interface user guide". CONNECTOR DESCRIPTION All connectors are on the rear panel. Note : all cables for digital signals must be twisted pairs. Better results are obtained by using shielded cables (foil and braid shielded). All input or output signals are differential (RS644 RS644 signals). 5.1 POWER SUPPLY Connector Binder circular subminiature 712 series, 4 pin female.
