It is a small module that supports the RC5000 RC5000 on a single PCB. The S500 allows the system designer to evaluate performance of the RC5000 RC5000's CPU without modification to the existing design. The S500 plugs directly into the RC4700 RC4700 PGA socket on any board, including the 79S465 79S465 evaluation board. The figure on this page shows a block diagram of the 79S500 79S500. The 79S500 79S500 is configured to plug directly into the 79S465 79S465 evaluation board, and it supports the RC5000 RC5000 PGA. The S500 can be used to evaluate system performance of the RC5000 RC5000. The S500 supports 64-bit system interface. The S500 draws power from the 79S465 79S465 evaluation board through the PGA socket it is plugged into and supports 3.3V operation. Ordering Information Each unit is shipped with complete schematics. A user's manual includes instructions on setting up the board. Boards are shipped with the RC5000 RC5000 CPU plugged in.
