Avionics APM-424 APM-424(V)5 Transponder/Interrogator MK XIIA Mode 5 Test Set (NSN: 6625-01-583-2774) Easily accommodates a variety of aircraft, ground and ship platforms to test Transponder and Interrogator performance · Transponder Test Modes 1, 2, 3/A, C, S (EHS/ELS), 4, Mode 5 · Interrogator Test Modes 1, 2, 3/A, C, S, 4, Mode 5, TCAS, ETCAS · Accurate GPS time/date acquisition (via GPS antenna, crypto or manually) · Mode 5 TX/RX pulse measurement · Mode 5 squitter data displayed · Mode 5 data acquisition formats 0 - 23 displayed · Hand-held, battery powered and lightweight (12.25 lbs with battery) · One piece, 3-button point and shoot Go/No-Go operation · Self-diagnostic · Parametric test results can be stored for downloading to a PC for review or maintenance logging · TS-4542 TS-4542 Shipboard Interrogator test capability · ADS-B test capability (planned) The APM-424 APM-424(V)5 Test Set is a performance and capability upgrade to the popular TS-4530 TS-4530 and APM-424 APM-424 Test Sets with the addition of Mode 5 testing in accordance with DoD AIMS International Program Office requirements. The test set meets or exceeds U.S. Military requirements for safety and environmental conditions. Aeroflex's new generation Mode 5 test set maintains the preferred point and shoot design for ease and speed of operation. Modulation is performed in the digital domain resulting in a highly accurate and flexible ramp or bench test platform. The 20-character 4-line display provides for easily viewable data and parametric measurements as required for Mode 5 testing. An optical sight is utilized to align the mono-pulse antenna while the transmitter power and receiver sensitivity are automatically adjusted to the test environment. All of this adds up to quick high performance airto-air testing of critical requirements.
