These computer input devices are gradually being replaced by the touch screen, which is a more intuitive and user-friendly human-machine interface. More and more computer system makers are considering to apply touch screen to their products, therefore, touch screen applications are now widespread in the market. AMT has continuously focused itself on the touch screen field for over a decade; our mission is to provide complete touch total solution. We continuously listen to our customers voice; research and develop new and upgraded touch technologies to meet market demands and customers requirements. And over the years, we have developed and made available various types of touch technologies to offer our valued customers. In this News Express issue, we take the opportunity to put together in one list below, our complete touch sensor product line. Projected Capacitive Input (PCI) Touch Solution AMT launched the PCI touch solution in June of this year, and since then has been garnering the most interest from our customers. We use two ITO glass layers, therefore providing very high light transmission; aside from this, our PCI has high touch sensitivity, and it is able to support the current popular operating systems as well as our own PenMounts 15 types of single gesture and 6 types of dual-finger gesture. At the end of this month, November, the second production lot of AMTs 7 PCI sample kits will be available for you. Resistive Multi-Finger (MF) Touch Solution To combine resistive and multiple touch technologies, we expanded the single touch mode to multiple touches of up to 12 simultaneous touches. Each touch zone can be set to "enable and "disable function; AMTs MF touch solution is suitable for industrial or medical equipments with safety and confirmation function requirements. Glass-Film-Glass (GFG) Touch Sensor By adding a thin glass layer over the top layer of the conventional film-glass touch screen, AMTs GFG touch screen provides you an easy-to-clean, anti-scratch and water resistant resistive touch screen which can also withstand high temperature. Low Reflective (LR) Touch Sensor Designed with a polarizer film and a 1/4retardation film, AMTs LR touch screen reduce light reflection, making it the best solution for outdoor application devices such as handheld equipments, portable computers and others. LR touch screens allow user to see through clearly the LCD display and operate easily under bright sunlight. GFG ­LR (Low Reflective Glass-Film-Glass) Touch Sensor AMT combined the advantages and technologies of the Glass-Film-Glass and Low Reflective touch screens, making it the best solution for outdoor application equipments requiring anti-scratch, water-resistant, and easy to clean features. Touch Window Touch screen in true-flat Touch Window design allows mechanical designer to get rid of the front bezel to cover touch screen and LCD panel; giving the product a more concise and streamline look, reducing housing thickness; therefore, making the final device more fashionable. Many consumer products with touch screen are using this type of design. High Light Transmission (HLT) Touch Sensor AMTs HLT touch screen has a very high light transmission of up to 90%, thereby, enhancing the LCD color brightness. Not only do we have various touch sensor products, we also have our very own touch controller, the PenMount controller. PenMount Controller team has over 17 years of experience; the team has developed countless of drivers to meet market and customers demands, from DOS to the early and latest Windows 7 operating systems, as well as the various Linux OS. Once there is a new operating system coming out to the market, the PenMount team will develop and release the driver to support the market demand.
