AK4614 AK4614 PRODUCT BRIEF New Family of High Density CODEC's Up to 18 Channels The AK461x family of audio CODEC's provides up to 18 channels, the industry's highest density levels for highperformance CODEC's. There are four devices is the family: AK4611 AK4611, with 4 inputs and 8 outputs; AK4612 AK4612, with 6 inputs and 8 outputs; AK4613 AK4613, with 4 inputs and 12 outputs; and AK4614 AK4614, with 6 inputs and 12 outputs. The family is pin and software compatible, enabling fast time-to-market for tiered products. The family is fabricated on AKM's new 0.18mm process, allowing very low power consumption of less than 20mW per channel. In differential I/O mode, dynamic range is 104dB for the ADC channels and 108dB for the DAC channels. The devices can also be configured for single-ended I/O, and a TDM interface is available to reduce board area. Ideal applications include automotive amplifiers, A/V receivers, and cost-sensitive pro audio recording gear.
