Pegasus Floating-Point Encoder/Decoder Board MULTICHANNEL FLOATING-POINT AUDIO ENCODER/DECODER POST PROCESSOR DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM OVERVIEW Analog Devices' Pegasus development platform facilitates the design of multichannel audio decoders, encoders and post-processors for home theatre, automotive audio, and portable audio receivers. The standalone PEGASUS board includes an ADSST-21065L ADSST-21065L KS-264 KS-264 SHARC DSP, four AD1855 AD1855 DACs, one stereo AK-5383 AK-5383 ADC, one CS-8414 CS-8414 DAR, four CS-8404 CS-8404 DAT transmitters, one 80C31 80C31 microcontroller, one S/PDIF input, four S/PDIF outputs, an RS-232 RS-232 port and a USB port. The SHARC DSP runs at a clock speed of 60 MHz, a cycle time of 17 ns, and operates at 180 peak MFLOPS. The AD1854 AD1854 24-bit DACs operate at a 96 kHz sample rate and feature 96 dB SNR and 97 dB THD+N @1 kHz. Ordering Information The Analog Devices' multichannel Pegasus Development Platform must be ordered under the part number ADSST-PEGASUS-SDK for the standalone reference design.
